Do Anathemas apply to Protestants?
When St. Paul condemns "any man" preaching another gospel, does he actually mean anyone? If Protestant doctrine constitutes "another gospel," why do some Orthodox leaders insist anathemas don't apply to them? What did our saints actually say about Protestantism that makes anathemas seem mild by comparison? And why might modern Orthodox teachers prefer Protestant comfort over patristic consensus?
